With the retirement of Pouncey, the Steelers are in a desperate need for a new center before the 2021 season begins. This will be a top need in the draft, with the likes of Oklahoma’s Creed Humphrey and Ohio State’s Josh Myers presumably rising to the top of their boards. There are, however, a couple free agent centers set to hit the market at the start of the new league year.

Among the top of the list at the position, should the Steelers splurge along the interior of their offensive line, then the long time center of the Green Bay Packers Corey Linsley could be a guy on their list. After seven seasons with the Packers, Linsley is now set to hit the market, and set to reel in a massive payday as he is coming off his first All-Pro season of his career.

If the Steelers stick with Roethlisberger under center in 2021, an area the team shed some doubt on earlier this month, then they will force their championship window open again. This will mean attempting to keep their offensive line intact as much as possible will be a massive priority in Pittsburgh in 2021. Linsley could be on the board in Pittsburgh.
