Undrafted Free Agent Addition: Robert Jones, OG, Middle Tennessee State

The addition of Robert Jones is another potential impact signing for the Miami Dolphins in the 2021 undrafted free agent class. Like Coleman, Jones is also a versatile depth piece for second-year offensive line coach, Lemuel Jeanpierre. At 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds, Jones has garnered experience all over the offensive line and could back up multiple positions in Miami.

Jones started his college career at Highland Community College in Kansas before transferring to Middle Tennessee State as a junior in 2019. He played left guard before in JUCO before moving to the right tackle position at MTSU. This experience should give Coleman an edge in a competition for a roster spot in 2020.

Another similarity between Jones and Coleman is their exceptional length. Jones’ wingspan measures out at an impressive 79 inches long. His lack of elite mobility likely renders Jones a spot inside at the next level, but his long arms could get him a look outside. Jones could end up being one of the real gems of Miami’s 2021 class.
