One player that Keeanu Benton could be responsible for slowing down during the Senior Bowl is former Tulane running back Tyjae Spears. Entering the week, running backs like Kenny McIntosh were some of the best at the position worth watching but Spears has been by far the best due to making plays like this:

Spears is not the biggest running back at 5’10” and 190 pounds but he has great quickness and is an excellent receiving back out of the backfield. This past season with Tulane he averaged nearly seven yards per carry and finished with over 1,500 rushing yards, 250 receiving yards and 21 total touchdowns.

For a player of Tyjae Spears’ skill set, practice is a chance for him to look really good as he operates best in space. If he can continue his performance in the game though on Saturday, he could build some momentum heading into the Scouting Combine and Pro Day and ultimately the NFL Draft.
