NFL Combine Sunday Primer: Guys Who Could Impress

facebooktwitterreddit

If you enjoy watching men in their underwear run down the field really fast today is your day. The WR and QB will be running today and there are some players who could really impress.

The first and I think he needs to impress is Baylor WR Kendall Wright. Wright is an under 6’0 WR who needs to run fast to maintain a first round grade I think. Being shorter and smaller without elite speed and coming from a spread offense that doesn’t require a full route tree is not a great combination. If Wright runs slower than people think, he might not go in the first round. If he runs really fast, maybe he goes in the top 10 to Jacksonville though I still find that unlikely.

LSU Rueben Randle is an intriguing prospect who was hurt by his offense which didn’t throw the ball a lot so he has to show that kind of upside people believe he has.

North Carolina State WR T.J. Graham could have a Demarcus VanDkye like rise for casual draft fans. Right now, Van Dkye was of course eventually drated by the Raiders.

Miami Hurricanes Tommy Streeter is 6’5 but could run a 4.4 or better 40 yard dash which would bring a lot of intrigue to teams looking for a deep play threat (or everyone).

And then there are the Arkansas pair of WR Jarius Wright and Joe Adams. One player of which might could run the fastest 40 yard dash today, which would be impressive because Florida RB Chris Rainey wants to run a 40 yard dash in the 4.1 range…is that even possible?

Lastly Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill is another guy who comes from an offense that runs a lot more than they throw, but he has an intriguing skill set.
