As you may have noticed, there is a FanCred button in all of our posts, so you might be wondering what it is.  FanCred is a new social networking platform designed entirely for sports on your phone.  It enables the user to follow other people and friends but also has the capability of adding teams.  With the teams, the user can look has the option to look at content that has been tagged for that specific team.  Not sure who to follow, but know which teams you like?  Simply tap into the feed for that team and the content comes to you, so you can see who you might want to follow.  It allows the user a great deal of control while not forcing them to follow everyone to get their specific team’s information or discussion on subjects.

All of that is good on its own, but FanCred also has a rating system that ranges from 1-100.  The score is a measure of activity level combined with feedback from people on FanCred to help establish their credibility on the network.  Not only can you build up your own credibility by discussing sports should you choose to go that route, but it also can give you an idea of who is believed to worth following or keeping an eye on in FanCred’s network.

It is incredibly easy to upload content, so just about everything from With the First Pick is posted on FanCred, so it is just one more way to get your fix from us as well as offer opportunities to find more places to enjoy for sports content.  The staff at FanCred is easily accessible and always willing to help people out where they can and get feedback.  It is an up and coming platform, but if it interests you, go to fancred.com and check out the app.  You can find me on there under my name, Peter Smith.
