Marcus Mariota: Is He Really Worth All This?

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is trying to change the way they play offense in the NFL. But to do that, he has to succeed and to even have a chance for that, he needs players that fit it. So owner Jeffery Lurie, who seems not to mind an NFL revolution, gave Kelly full control over personnel.

From there, we all assumed that Kelly would go all in for quarterback prospect Marcus Mariota. After all, no matter what your offensive system is, the main guy that has to fit it is the quarterback. He just so happens to have excelled in the system under Kelly at Oregon for a couple of years too.

So why wouldn’t we assume that Kelly plans to trade for Mariota?
