St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley is showing that he has some Adrian Peterson in him. We’ll soon see how much as a player but he already has the coming back from a knee injury part down. Just 8.5 months after tearing his ACL, the 10th overall pick passed the physical and conditioning test to make it to the active roster for training camp.

Myles Simmons via Twitter reported that Rams general manager Les Snead confirmed on a St. Louis Radio station, that Gurley is ready for football activities. He mostly did rehab work during offseason practices before engaging in light walkthroughs near the end of OTAs. What’s crazy is it was all over the media last week that he would start camp on the non-football injury (NFI) list.

I actually thought it was a good idea for Gurley to start there to make sure he would be okay. The Rams do have second-year running back Tre Mason, who can handle the load in Gurley’s stead. But he must have really showed that he had progressed enough to start the season on time.

A healthy Gurley with the Rams defense is a threat to make the playoffs.
