The Oakland Raiders never had a chance to get out of Oakland!

Fans in Los Angeles were the first to have the pipe dream that the Raiders were on their way there. They held on to Houston Texans owner and L.A. committee member Bob McNair’s every word. But like Oakland rap group The Coup said back in the day, they were “gettin’ hustled only knowin’ half the game.”

L.A. media gassed the people up more, looking to interest L.A.’s Raiders fans over telling the truth. The vote that sent Raiders owner Mark Davis back to Oakland should have ended that pipe dream. But what is at best, an attempt to find new leverage to negotiate with, has started new pipe dreams.

San Antonio and San Diego have come in to take a hit of the pipe and have their dreams. And there are some in L.A. that took another hit of the pipe as if they didn’t get enough disappointment. But the Davis, who really didn’t want to leave, has no choice but to stay in Oakland.

Too many misconceptions have been thrown around from the beginning to now have and will continue to lead to disappointment.
