Derek Carr on schedule to be an elite quarterback
They say a young quarterback makes his biggest jump in production from year on to year two. And Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr certainly did make that big jump to year two in 2015. The fact that he made the Pro Bowl doesn’t tell the story because a few quarterbacks turned the Pro Bowl down.
It got to the point where Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater even played in the game. But from his first two years, you can clearly see Carr is on track to be an elite quarterback. At the NFL Scouting combine Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio sounded like he knows he has his guy now.
He said on NFL Network “It’s imperative that you find a guy that you believe can lead your franchise and now, we think we have one.”
