It’s hard to tell what to believe when NFL personnel people leak things out into the media. There’s never a name behind it and of course, each team is trying to protect their respective interests. The Tennessee Titans are the only team in the Draft that can be honest because they pick first.

But action speaks a whole lot louder than words and the actions of these NFL teams tell a story. All you hear is Carson Wentz this and Jared Goff that but they’re not much better than the QBs projected into the second round. There’s no Andrew Luck, Blake Bortles or Jameis Winston that you can trust in this year’s draft.

So the Cleveland Browns, who pick at No. 2, signed Robert Griffin III for two years, $15 million with $6.75 million guaranteed. Remember, they wanted to trade for Collin Kaepernick earlier this offseason. But the San Francisco 49ers, who pick at No. 7, didn’t want to trade Kaepernick because they don’t trust this QB class either.

Griffin was done wrong by head coach Jay Gruden but it worked out for him with Kirk Cousins. When you simply don’t want to coach a player, it shows and Gruden did nothing to hide that fact. But when you actually want to coach a phenomenal talent like Griffin, you can get big things out of him.

That is especially the case for Jackson, a quarterback whisperer that once made Jason Campbell look like a legitimate starting quarterback for a couple of years with the Oakland Raiders. Campbell didn’t do anything before or since his time with Jackson so Jackson is deserving of some credit there.

Griffin has already done something, winning rookie of the year while taking the Redskins to the playoffs. So you can bet the Jackson will be able to do more with him than he did with Campbell. The Browns can now take the best player on the board to build their team at No. 2 while finding out what Griffin has in him.

There isn’t a quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft worth the No. 2 overall pick or even a top-10 pick.

And this signing is a sign of it!
