The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting healthy for the start of training camp.

Kelvin Beachum and Jalen Ramsey are both expected to be fully healthy for the start of the Jacksonville Jaguars training camp. Both players figure to be major contributors and counted on to be key pieces on a potential playoff run.

Beachum’s health might be a little more important than Ramsey’s at this point in the process. The Jaguars need to solidify the offensive line and Beachum is expected to open training camp as the starting left tackle.

He’s coming over from Pittsburgh where he had a good run, but was allowed to leave via free agency mainly due to salary cap issues. The Steelers just couldn’t afford to throw big money at Beachum— especially with his uncertain health.

Beachum does need to beat out Luke Joeckel during training camp, but that competition is seen as a formality.

Ramsey’s health is important because the Jaguars want to get their 1st round pick on the field. However, the do have enough depth in the secondary to ease him back on the field. This depth includes Davon House, Prince Amukamara, Aaron Colvin and Dwayne Gratz.

Obviously, the Jaguars want Ramsey on the field. He’s an elite talent who is capable of making an instant impact. The plan appears to allow him to start off working in the slot with House and Amukamara on the outside.

This should help with Ramsey’s transition to the NFL because he spent a lot of his time at Florida State working out of the slot.

Jacksonville is hoping to make a serious playoff run this year and will need a healthy roster in order to accomplish this feat. Beachum and Ramsey have important roles to fill so it’s great news that they’ll be ready to start the year on a healthy note.
