Defense rules the top 10 when it comes to this 2017 NFL Mock Draft. There will be some overdrafted quarterbacks in the real draft but this is a good year for defensive players.

“Defense wins championships!”

You know the saying and if you are looking to get a franchise changing defensive player, this draft is for you. The quarterback prospects for the 2017 NFL Draft are too good this year. I know teams overdraft quarterbacks but they need to look at the defensive players.

A team can get to a Super Bowl with and average quarterback if they build up the defense. So in this mock draft, defensive players dominate the top 10 with only one quarterback in there. Most of the quarterbacks in this class look like projects anyway.

There’s plenty of time and opportunity for things to change but not too many look too good right now. Meanwhile, there are a lot of defensive prospects that are can’t miss and ready now. And they would change a franchise’s fortunes faster than these quarterbacks.
