47. The Patriots got themselves a nice rental in Michael Floyd for the rest of the season. Then this offseason, when they find out how much trouble he’s in, the they’ll be done with him. But Brady will like having a tall, athletic, No. 1 receiver to throw the ball down the field to.
A large catch radius with some speed and route running would be a welcome addition to the Patriots. I know Rob Gronkowski is injured now but I’m not buying him being done or not the same anymore. But he would be nice to not to have to use him as much so he’s harder to gameplan for.

So with the last pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Patriots select Juju Smith-Schuster. His combination of speed, route running, and catch radius would give Brady a true No. 1 receiver again. In 2007, the Patriots had a true No. 1 receiver in Randy Moss, a No. 2 and a slot receiver.

In 2011, they had two TEs, a good slot receiver, and didn’t have a true No. 1 receiver. In 2014, they won a Super Bowl with a slot receiver, TE and RB LeGarrette Blount. And this pick would give them the No. 1 receiver, the No. 2 receiver the slot receiver, two TE’s and the RB to hoist another Lombardi.
. WR. USC. Juju Smith-Schuster. 32. player
