All is different with the Oakland Raiders now as three players made All Pro!

The AP All-Pro teams were announced on Friday and there are three Oakland Raiders on them. That’s around half of the amount of players that made the Pro Bowl this year. But of course, it’s more prestigious because the first team only has one player at each position.

Speaking of position or positions, Khalil Mack will not duplicate what he did last year. He made history in 2015, when he was a first-team All-Pro at outside linebacker and defensive end. The All Pro team has added an edge-rusher slot to its list of positions.

And the AP announced Friday morning that Mack made first-team All-Pro as an edge-rusher. So making All Pro at defensive end and outside linebacker is something that will never be done again. Mack didn’t have quite as many sacks as a year ago but was a more dominant player.

He had 73 tackles, 11 sacks, five forced fumbles and an interception returned for a touchdown this year. He’s among the frontrunners to win the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year award. Mack was not the only Raiders player to make an All Pro team this year.

Highly-paid guard Kelechi Osemele made first-team All-Pro at left guard. He brought a nastiness and aggression to Raiders offensive line they haven’t had in years. Osemele protected the passer and opened holes for ball carriers very well for the AFC’s finest offensive line.

Raiders punter Marquette King made the second-team All-Pro. King had an average of 48.6, a net average of 41.4 and had 34 of his punts downed inside the 20-yardline. You couldn’t say Raider and All-Pro in the same sentence for a long time.

As young and talented as this roster is, more are on the way.
