Josh Doctson looks like he’s ready for the offseason program and season in 2017.

Veteran WRs DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon will be free agents soon. So the Washington Redskins prepared for that last year, giving fellow WR Jamison Crowder a larger role. They also took preparatory steps in the draft, taking Josh Doctson in the first round.

But of course, Doctson strained his right Achilles tendon during spring drills last season. The injury lingered into the season so he would end up out for the season in Week 3. He caught two passes for 66 yards in just two games last season.

But for those wondering of Doctson will be ready for the offseason program, or season, there’s good news. Doctson is making progress and posted videos of himself doing drills on Snapchat page, via the Washington Post’s Master Tesfatsion.

DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon will be free agents with a lot of interest soon. Doctson’s health for the 2017 season becomes of greater importance this year. If they are indeed keeping him, QB Kirk Cousins is going to need some targets to work with.

If they’re not, whoever the next Redskins quarterback will be needs targets so this is good news.
