Da’Quan Bowers Has Surgery To Repair Partially Torn MCL
Sources have confirmed that Clemson Defensive End, Da’Quan Bowers suffered a knee injury midway through the 2010 season. He continued to play with the injury, and at a high level. After Clemson’s Bowl game, Bowers elected to have surgery on his knee. The injury appears to be a slightly torn MCL. The injury is not serious, and all reports indicate that Bowers is currently hard at work, preparing for the NFL Scouting Combine.
Bowers currently sits at the number two spot on my Big Board, and the number one spot on Jurdon’s Big Board. He is widely considered the best defensive end in the draft. Even though all reports declare the injury to not be serious, scouts and team doctors will do their due diligence at the Combine, to determine how serious the injury was, and if it will hinder Bowers future production.
