NFL Combine: Quick Hits (Day 3)
- Nevada TE, Virgil Green was the star of the day. He ran a 4.6 forty, caught every ball smoothly, and had a vertical jump of 42 inches.
- Doctors found a broken bone in the foot of South Carolina TE, Weslye Saunders. He’ll need surgery to repair it.
- UNC WR, Greg Little was tops in the bench press with 27 reps.
- Auburn DT, Nick Fairley showed up 2 inches shorter and 9 pounds lighter than original marks (6’3″ 291 lbs)
- Marcel Dareus came in at 317 pounds.
- Cal DE, Cam Jordan says, “It puts a smile on me to hit a quarterback and hear the wind coming out of his chest.”
- Colorado OT, Nate Solder and Boston College OT, Anthony Castonzo showed off their athleticism, excelling in all field drills.
- Florida State OC/OG, Rodney Hudson was the star of the interior linemen. He carried his new weight well, and looked extremely agile during field drills.
- Syracuse OC, Ryan Bartholomew opened the eyes of scouts and probably turned in the second best interior line performance.
