NFL Combine: Ryan Mallett Rubs Media the Wrong Way

Ryan Mallett walked into his scheduled press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine, and the media had their metaphorical guns locked and loaded with character-sized bullets. Once the press conference opened for questions, they fired away in rapid fashion. Mallet took the first three questions in stride, giving cliche answers, and not divulging too much information. The forth question set him off. According to reports, he walked off and ended the Q&A abruptly.

This is not a good look for Mallett. It will only add fuel to the fire, and give coaches and scouts one more question to ask during the interview process. Mallett must understand that this is the process. If he can’t handle the media at this stage, he will not stand a chance at the next level. J.R. Carroll, Mallet’s agent needs to get on the horn immediately and talk some sense into him. Remind him that the way he carries himself over the next 4 days, will directly affect his future.
