As some of you may know, I experienced a terrible loss in my family last week. Unfortunately, I was not able to write any articles due to the family restraints. Luckily, it’s all over and done with now, and we can get this show back on the road. No better way to start it off than with NFL Draft: Morning Delight. A lot has transpired in the past week, so here are some excellent articles from various sites.
"“I honestly think he’s the best player in the draft,’’ said Scouts Inc.’s Matt Williamson, a former NFL front-office worker. “He’s as clean a prospect as there is coming out in this draft. There are no character flaws or physical problems. I don’t know that there is a single thing you can put down about him that’s a negative.’’"
"This is an aggressive move by the players but it makes sense. The draft is a big deal for the NFL and by taking the players out of the process, it will make watching on TV much less compelling. My guess is that the NFLP feels that if the owners are going to lock them out and prevent them from entering the team facility, they shouldn’t let their future members attend an event that is going to help make the league more money."
"Scouts are concerned about Thomas’ pure speed, however, making it very important for him to run for teams prior to the draft. Thomas cited left hamstring tightness as the reason why he wasn’t able to work out at the Combine or participate in the Senior Bowl."
