I am happy to hear that the lock out might be coming to an end, but also extremely frustrated that it hasn’t ended YET!

James Harrison is an even bigger idiot than Pacman Jones. If you read my Harrison article last week you know how I feel about his recent outburst and what I think the Steelers should do with their talented, but extremely mouthy outside line backer.

After re-watching the Auburn/Alabama game from last year I still think Cam Newton is a beast.
I am excited to see how he evolves as a professional, but even if he fails no one can take away how truly amazing he was last year and how his play justified being taken first overall. Also, that game was one of the best football games (NFL, NCAA, CFL) I watched all of last season!

Fantasy experts are really undervaluing Brandon Marshall for the upcoming season. I know he is coming off of down year by his standards (14 games- 86 rec, 1,014 yds, 3 td) and that he has had a troublesome off season, but he is still an elite receiver. For example, Marshall is currently ranked as the 23rd best fantasy receiver for 2011 by ESPN expert analyst Christopher Harris. That seems pretty harsh for a guy who is only twenty seven years old and even in a down year threatened to attain 100 catches and amassed 1000 yards in only fourteen games. I really hope that players in my league undervalue Marshall because I sure would love to land “The Beast” in the middle rounds.

There are three really good quarterback prospects to watch this year. Andrew Luck (Stanford), Landry Jones (Oklahoma), and Matt Barkley (USC) will all make a case as a top pick in 2012. Luck is by far the unanimous choice at the moment, but don’t count out these other two as top picks as well. This should definitely be another exciting year for the NCAA.
