Dallas Cowboys-Tony Romo (QB): Romo is usually the seventh QB taken after Rodgers, Vick, Brady, Brees, Peyton and Rivers and has gone as late as the sixth round.   This is a QB who has players like Witten, Miles and Dez to throw to.   I can’t tell you how excited I am to see him play a full year under Jason Garrett. Romo has four games against the NFC West.   He could easily put up 4,500 yards and 27 TD’s.   People may say Romo has a bad line and throws too many interceptions, but the truth is that it was the fullback Chris Gronkowski who missed the block which ended Romo’s season. Romo did throw 7 INT’s before he was injured, but 3 of those came as a result of tips from Miles Austin and Roy “I’ll mail you a $76,000 ring” Williams who is no longer with the team.   Stock up on RB’s and WR’s early and get Romo later.

Philadelphia Eagles- Brent Celek (TE): With Maclin not with the team becauase of an illness, Brent Celek stands the most to gain.   Celek had a down year if you compare it to what he did the previous year with McNabb.  However, Vick has said he plans to get Celek the ball more.  I didn’t believe him until I saw Brent Celek  be the beneficiasry of Vick’s lone TD pass in the preseason game against the Ravens.  Celek isn’t being drafted at all.  If you don’t get one of the top 7 TE’s, just wait until round 14 and draft Celek.

New York Giants- Victor Cruz (WR): This kid is an animal, and most of you don’t even know his name.  That’s because  he still has yet to catch a pass in a regular season game.  Steve Smith is gone and Cruz will become the 3rd WR in this offense.  Cruz burst onto the scene when he scored 3 TD’s against the Jets during a preseason game.  For some unknown reason, that’s pretty much the last time we heard of him.  I don’t trust Mario Manningham.  Sure he had 3 TD’s and at least 80 yards receiving in the final two games, but that’s when Steve Smith and Nicks were out.  When defenses start game planning for Mario, he will be nothing but an afterthought.  Draft Cruz before you draft your defense and ride Cruz to the ‘ship.

Washington Redskins- Tim Hightower (RB) : Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan has been quoted as saying he believes Tim Hightower can be an every down back. Hightower is getting the reps with the first team while Torain is out. On Thursday, ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported Tim Hightower is actually the favorite to win the starting job. In recent mock drafts, Torain has gone in the 9th, and rookie Roy Helu in the 13th. Hightower is being undrafted! An RB who has every down back potential is being undrafted folks. Let someone draft Torrain first, then take Hightower with your next pick. If the Shanahans can work their magic on Hightower and solve his fumbling issue, you could be staring at the steal of the draft.

Philadelphia Eagles-D/ST:   That’s right this article just became 25% longer.   I am a big believer of waiting till the final two rounds to pick your defense and kicker.   However, if you were to pick the Eagles Defense in the 10th round, I wouldn’t fault you.   They now have Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Nnhamdi Asomugha, and Asante Samuel all on the same squad.   Are you kidding me?   No word if the Eagles are going to hold a celebration party where they are all announced in a full arena with smoke and streamers.   Let me run down some of the QB’s the Eagles face this year: Alex Smith, Tarvaris Jackson, Rex Grossman/John Beck, and Eli Manning twice.   Eli has been binge drinking since the announcement the poor guy.   If they can get a linebacker, Lofa Tatupu is available, you could be looking at the #1 defense in fantasy.
