If I was Head Coach…

A couple of weeks ago I wrote an article about being a general manager of a NFL team. As much as we’d love to make those franchise-altering decisions, most of our time discussing football revolves around things that actually happened during the game. We love to chat and argue about various calls and decisions, often feeling like we would have made a better move.

So, what would I do as a NFL Head Coach? Just like being a GM, it would depend somewhat on the talent and make up of my team and the specific game situation. However, there are a few “rules” I would try to follow whenever possible:
