Should the Bears copy the Cubs

In general, it’s not a good idea to recommend a franchise use perennial losers the Chicago Cubs, a team in a slight drought that has lasted a mere 102 years without a championship, as a model, yet that’s exactly what the Chicago Bears need to consider. Waiting till at least 2087 to win another championship is not the move the Bears have to copy. The Cubs recently fired general manager Jim Hendry. Was Jerry Angelo paying attention? He should be checking his cell phone to see if he has a number for Hendry— perhaps the two of them can carpool to the unemployment line together. Hendry was fired for hamstringing the Cubs with long-term albatrosses of contracts leaving them with inferior production on the field and no ability to move any of the players. The McCaskey family should hand Angelo his walking papers for a more serious offense, failing to put the best team possible on the field.
