Opening Day 2011

Well, we’ve finally made it.  The regular season finally kicks off later tonight – and not a moment too soon.  Although Opening Day really takes place on Sunday, our first week of the season will begin with what is potentially a playoff preview, with a match-up of the two previous Super Bowl winners.

That would be a great week even if it was the only good game, but thankfully, it is not.  The schedule makers in the league office have at least gotten this first week right, with several contenders locking horns.  The first week also features many divisional foes facing one another, concluding with two of those games on Monday night.
