Here is a quick look at what I found surprising and not surprising about Week 1 in the NFL…
I found it surprising that…Atlanta got manhandled by Chicago. I think the Falcons might have been slightly overrated coming into this game, but I felt that the Bears were due for a big drop off from last year. However, Jay Cutler played a good game, the Bears’ offensive line performed better than expected and the defense harassed Matt Ryan all game. I still think the Falcons are a better team and more likely of the two to make the playoffs, but its entire possible that the Falcons are worse than everyone thought and the Bears better.
