It was another very solid performance from Cam Newton again yesterday. His second half was marred with some rookie mistakes and he also needs to become more comfortable in the red zone, but he made a number of tremendous plays that left me very impressed. Plus back-to-back 400 plus yard passing performances is just ridiculous from any quarterback, let alone a rookie.
I think…
My friends and I were debating yesterday what Carolina would do if they end up with the first pick again. Assuming Newton continues to impress they will have a decision to make. Do they take Andrew Luck, a player who has drawn comparisons to Peyton Manning? Or do they trade the pick? And if they traded the pick what is Andrew Luck worth? I would think it would be expensive; something along the lines of three first round picks. It is still early in the season and there are other teams in the conversation, but it is definitely an interesting debate.
