These are my three teams currently trending in the “Luck Zone”. These are currently the teams who I think can be in the discussion as of now for the first pick in the 2012 Draft after week three.

1) Indianapolis Colts- they hung in tough defensively against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but their offensive woes cost them a chance at the upset.  Now Manning is out for the year. (Last Weeks Rank #2)

2) Kansas City Chiefs- played well against a superior opponent in San Diego, but still came away with a loss.  With the injuries continuing to mount, so to will the loses. (Last Weeks Rank #Honorable Mention)

3) Miami Dolphins– they have talent and should be a much better team then they have shown.  But they cant seem to win and they lost to the lowly Browns and are now 0-3.  The wheels are coming off in South Florida. (Last week Rank #NR)

Honorable Mention: St Louis Rams

I think…

LSU and Alabama have two of the best defenses in college football that I have seen in a long time.  Both play with speed in the secondary and power up front.  They are really impressive and will be difficult to beat.  I am interested to see how Florida uses its speed on offense against Alabama this week.  If you haven’t watched either of these teams play I suggest you do so.  Both teams contain players who will have an impact at the NFL level in the coming years.

I think…

After coming away last week disappointed in Landry Jones after scouting him for our Scout’s Eye feature, he was extremely impressive this week in a win over Missouri.  Jones threw for 467 yards and three touchdowns in the game.  He still has to make some better decisions with the ball at times, but he is definitely in the running to be the second player taken in the 2012 Draft.
