Tim Tebow Wins Football Games

As I am sure you know by now the Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow lead his team to a shocking upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon.  With the win the Broncos will now go on to face the New England Patriots in next Saturday’s divisional round playoff match up.  I am not going to break down Tebow’s performance or debate if it was divine intervention that propelled his team to success; there are enough people smarter than me who will make those arguments and give their opinion over the next seven days.  I however just want to say how refreshing it is to see such an incredible individual succeed in the face of so much criticism.  As sports fans we often spend to much time analyzing for the future that we forget to just enjoy the present. For months people have debated the future of Tim Tebow and if he will be able to maintain success over the course of a career.

Is Tim Tebow a franchise quarterback? I really don’t know and I dont think anyone does.  The only thing I do know is that a good person is in the process of doing something really great and I think that we should all just enjoy it for what it is.

These types of moments do not come along very often and the only thing that is certain is that it will not last forever.  So let’s just enjoy it for what it is.  The world is filled with so much pain and suffering and an enormous amount of selfish individuals.  In this case, we have been granted an opportunity to witness a special person rise above and achieve success.  Is that really so bad? Let’s stop ananylzing his ability and just enjoy the accomplishment.

It might be far fetced to consider Tim Tebow the ultimate under dog, but for the past twelve months very few people believed he could achieve success in the NFL.  He has now done that with an enormous amount of class.  I don’t know if this success will last and right now I really don’t care.  The only thing that matters is that Tim Tebow has been winning football games and defining what it means to be a role model in the process.  I say Good for you Tim.
