Washingtin Huskies TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins the Next Rob Gronkowski?
We have all seen the kind of impact that Rob Gronkowski has had in 2011-12 with the New England Patriots, and we might have another guy quite a bit like him within our midst.
NFL Draft fans need to get to know the name Austin Seferian-Jenkins, a freshman going on sophomore tight end for the Washington Huskies. Jenkins was the second ranked tight end prospect by Rivals.com coming out last season, and he showed up as one of the best and most underrated freshmen in the country in 2011.
At 6’6″ 258 pounds, the young Seferian-Jenkins caught 41 passes for 538 yards and six touchdowns, showing off his range and athletic ability along the way. His size is what really reminds me of Gronkowski, along with his athletic ability which allows him to absolutely dominate the people around him.
With Huskies quarterback Keith Price emerging as one of the best playmakers in the country, Seferian-Jenkins could be in for an absolutely huge sophomore campaign.
He will not be eligible for the NFL Draft until 2014, so enjoy him at the collegiate level while you still can. This guy should be very exciting to watch in the coming years.
