Kellen Moore is one of the most productive quarterbacks, not only in the history of Boise State, but the history of College Football. But through two days at the Senior Bowl, he’s floundering. Moore entered the pre-draft process with questions about his arm strength and also questions about his height. While he didn’t measure in tall, the bigger problem is that he’s struggling to throw the football.
The biggest knock on Moore came from a tweet from Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald quoting a N.F.L. Scout.
“He looks like a high school quarterback, skinny arms. Has a weird deliver. Left handed, the ball spins the wrong way,”scout on Kellen Moore
A high school quarterback. Moore struggled throwing the ball all over the field today. He doesn’t have the arm strength to throw outside the numbers in the N.F.L. you factor in his inexperience from under center, his average athleticism, and the goofy offense he played in and the question becomes is Kellen Moore even a draftable Quarterback prospect?
I’m not sure. You love his grittiness and I think if he goes to a team that is talented he could work his way onto the squad at sometime, he has shown that he can command an offense. I think clearly though, Moore is showing why there are so much doubts about him and why he’s no more than a third day pick at best.
