2013 NFL Draft Prospect of the Day: Penn State RB Silas Redd

Despite all of the distraction surrounding Penn State these days, they really do know how to put together a good football program. One big part of their surprisingly good 2011 season was running back Silas Redd, a true sophomore who is todays prospect of the day.

Redd rushed for 1,241 yards on 244 carries last year with seven touchdowns. He has really good quickness and agility and deceptive open field speed. He is a tough runner who fights for extra yardage and has pretty good size at 5’10” 209.

Right now, he is a solid day two pick, and if he has a breakout junior season, he could be in line for a first round grade going into the 2013 NFL Draft.
