Trent Richardson and Mark Barron to Miss Alabama Pro-Day
Alabama will hold their Pro day tomorrow, Wednesday March 7th, but they will be without Trent Richardson and Mark Barron. Richardson was expected to participate after having minor knee surgery prior to the combine. The question is whether or not Richardson has had a set-back or if the surgery was worse than originally thought. Mark Barron wasn’t expected to participate in Alabama’s Pro-Day. which makes the Pro-day only slightly less appealing.
I don’t think this drastically effects Trent Richardson’s draft stock, perhaps a team in the top 10 is a little more hesitant now, but I still think there are teams that would move up in the top 12 area to draft him as well. For Baron he needs to show off at least decent speed and coverage ability to be drafted in the first round-he is a top 20 prospect to me.
There are still plenty of players looking to improve their stock like top prospects Courtney Upshaw, Dre Kirkpatrick among others.
There are later round prospects like Will Vlachos, Dequan Menzie looking to improve their stock. We’ll have all the information from following the Proday either here or at NFLmocks.
