Josh Gordon Could Be Selected in Third Round of Supplemental Draft

Baylor WR Josh Gordon is creating a lot of buzz heading into the N.F.L. draft. Gordon is big, fast, and catches the ball well. He has the desireable NFL Traits, he just has made some bad decisions, still it appears the former Baylor and Utah WR could find a landing spot in the third round (or earlier).

I can confidently say that the Giants are not the team that will select Josh Gordon. It makes little sense from their perspective. They already have a wealth of talent at the WR position, and though they will take players with baggage, it’s usually only in later rounds or to fill an immediate need.

The Redskins could be a team that makes a lot of defense. Gordon played well with RGIII at Baylor and though they upgraded their WR corps, there are still a lot of question marks.

The Cowboys make sense too to a point, but they already have one supremely talented WR with baggage, would they take another one.

The Eagles would be a surprise to most, but the Eagles are very willing to take on players with “character concerns” and the Eagles WR corps is not extremely deep. Perhaps the Eagles feel they need to upgrade their.

Of course it’s also possible one of the 28 other teams not in the N.F.C. East select Josh Gordon. In any case it appears that Gordon is a lock to be taken in the supplemental draft.
