Ed Wesley Not Helping Case to Be Supplemental Draft Pick

Former TCU Running back Ed Wesley posted pedestrian numbers at his proday, and might have ended his chance at getting selected in the supplemental draft. Wesley measured in at 5’8 196 pounds and ran 40 yard dashes of 4.68 and 4.72. Wesley was never considered an elite athlete, more of a solid all around back with good vision and potential as a receiver, but he’s probably a long shot to get selected in the supplemental draft. It is possible he’ll get nabbed with a sixth or seventh round selection, but leading into the supplemental draft, just a few days away, it appears that former Utah and Baylor WR Josh Gordon is the most likely, and possibly the only, player to be selected in the supplemental draft.

Gordon has a lot of buzz surrounding him. He’s big and fast, but there are a lot of questions about him as well. He has some character issues and isn’t a refined football player.
