Every year a number of quality players go undrafted for any number of reasons including character issues and medical concerns; then a number of them make rosters and become contributors in the NFL. More than a few has gone out and had great careers. The market for undrafted free agents is extremely competitive and starts before the draft is even over. Teams are talking to players and agents during the draft with agreements that are pending them not being picked.
