So that’s the good. What about the bad? What about picks wasted on players that don’t contribute much? Well for the answer to that we look at that same draft value number, but we look for the most negative of those numbers. This means that the player should have drafted that number later than they were actually picked. For these purposes only picks in the first three rounds are considered as later picks aren’t really “premium” picks and often are used on gambles. Here’s the top (bottom?) twelve of the worst draft picks of 2010.
