Oct 30, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston (5) on the sidelines during the first quarter against the Louisville Cardinals at Papa John

Bottom Line

Winston is a 20-year old kid still in the process of growing up so he is sure to mature from what he’s done like Roethlisberger. What he’s going through now as he grows up in front of America will have him ready for the bright lights of the NFL. I understand that it’s better not to do these things but it’s better for him to learn his lesson now before becoming the face of an organization.

America loves a man that’s quiet and always does the right thing but we don’t know what he’ll do under the heat lamp of the NFL. Meanwhile, we know who and what Winston is and that there are no lights too bright for him to stand up under. The vets he’ll be in a pro locker room with are watching Winston now and much of their belief in him will be based on what he’s doing under the bright lights now.

Winston doesn’t get distracted by all the media coverage or what’s put out about him in the media because he blocks it all out. Nothing stops this kid from shining in his big moments so since he’ s allowed to enter the NFL, you might as well take him. If not you just missed out on a quarterback that’s not going to have thin skin or choke because he is a winner.

You can’t be too sure about Mariota.
