Intangibles

Earlier this season, Williams’ Trojans had a contest against the Stanford Cardinal where they were prohibitive underdogs. And that was with Williams playing so you can only imagine how prohibitive it would have been without his presence. But his presence they had as Williams played with a badly sprained ankle and led the Trojans to a 13-10 win over the Cardinal.

Williams had 11 tackles that included a crucial 3rd-down run stuff on 4th-and-1 and a crucial sack late in the fourth quarter. He did this against a school the sends offensive lineman to the NFL on the regular, including fellow future 1st-rounder and left tackle Andrus Peat. Coming up big when his team needs him most regardless of how he feels is the type of intangible a franchise needs.
