Corner T.J. Carrie is a 7th-round pick  that has shown as much promise as a corner that was drafted in the first round so far. Against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, he constantly locked his man down and had two passes defensed. He made a boo-boo by fumbling a punt return to set up a score but the rookie played well on defense.

G.M. Reggie McKenzie struck gold with a corner that good in the seventh round as he showed up in his first start. Sunday was a nice change of pace from watching Tarrell Brown and Carlos Rogers get burned all day. If Carrie and 2013 1st-round pick D.J. Hayden can build off of Sunday, the Raiders have a nice, young tandem.
