Alvin Dupree (Kentucky)
With the 16th pick in the NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select Alvin Dupree from the Kentucky Wildcats. Yeah, I have the Cardinals picking this soon because I expect them to take a free fall after Carson Palmer tore his ACL. So now, they’ll have a chance to get Dupree to fill a need as a 3-4 pass rushing outside linebacker.
Dupree was a 3-4 outside linebacker originally at Florida State the transferred to Kentucky when his defensive coordinator Mark Stoops became head coach there. So he had some adjusting to do with 15 extra pounds and his hand in the dirt on every play instead of every now and again. We would know much more about him if he stayed at Florida State but he could easily switch back to 3-4 outside linebacker.
