Eddie Goldman (Florida State)
With the 20th pick in the NFL draft, the San Diego Chargers select nose tackle Eddie Goldman from the Florida State Seminoles. The Chargers have a good defense with good linebackers and guys in the secondary but need work on the line of scrimmage. When everyone else in the NFL can stop the 0-9 Oakland Raiders’ running game and you can’t, that’s a problem.
With quarterback Philip Rivers and the offense lighting it up, opposing teams will to try to keep the Chargers offense off the field by running the ball. That’s especially going to be the case in the winter months if and when the Chargers get in the playoffs. So they should definitely take a the 6’3″, 320-pound Goldman to plug up the middle of the Chargers defense.
