Danielle Hunter (LSU)

With the 27th pick in the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select defensive end Danielle Hunter from the LSU Tigers. At 6’6″, 240 pounds, Hunter is long and lean but don’t get it twisted, he is physical at the point at the point of attack. But his specialty is what the Cowboys need and that’s the burst off the edge to get after the quarterback.

Hunter’s sack numbers aren’t there this year but his talent clearly is with all that length he has to go with that burst. Speaking of sack numbers, the Cowboys aren’t doing so well in that department after losing Demarcus Ware. Plug Hunter in where Ware used to be and the Dallas Cowboys will go much further next year than they will this year.
