Duke Johnson

Currently projected into the second round by most, Duke Johnson is in the mold of the Miami running backs that came before him. The 5’9″, 206 pounder has excellent vision and the ability to slash to what he sees at the line of scrimmage. He’s not Chris Johnson but he has some speed, he’s good in pass protection and catches the ball well out of the backfield.

That was on full display last Saturday as the work-horse had 27 carries for 130 yards and four catches for 37 yards. I like this kid a lot because he doesn’t have a weakness in his game so he doesn’t have to come off the field. I like his ability so much that if he can run a blazing 40-time at the combine, I could see him going early in the second or sneaking into the first round.
