Todd Gurley

At 6’1″, 225 pounds, Todd Gurley from the Georgia Bulldogs is very manly on the football field with the ball in his hand. His power and tackle breaking ability is right on par with former Bulldogs running back Hershel Walker. He may not be the world-class sprinter walker was but he’s fast enough to make it to the house on a breakaway run.

He has been clocked at 4.42 by his coaching staff and if he does that at the combine, he could change a teams’ minds about him. Gurley also displays the vision, patience and can make a guy miss every now and then to go with all that power. He’s also a great receiver out of the backfield and has no problems protecting the quarterback in pass protection.

Gurly is definitely a complete running back that doesn’t have to come off of the field for any situation. So the value he has at his position is considerably larger than what’s been in the draft the last few years. I’m anxiously waiting on his 40 time because it could separate him from the other prospects if he nails it.
