Winston isn’t lighting it up the way he did last year but he’s winning while showing the traits that translate to the NFL. The most important trait he’s showing is intangible and that’s the fact that he can overcome adversity with the best of them. Unlike his counterpart, Marcus Mariota, he does what he needs to do when the heat is at it’s hottest to win the game for his team.

And the fact that he comes from a pro style offense is important as he has his fundamentals and progressions down already. He’s also mobile with a big arm and has the accuracy to throw into tight windows and anticipates where his receivers will be as he often throws before the receiver makes his break. At 6’4″, 240, he’s already big enough so there’s nothing he needs to especially work on as experience is all he would need.
