What He Brings

Gordon is patient with great vision to see along the line of scrimmage to use his one-step-to-full-speed acceleration to burst through a hole. He’s also a hard runner with deceiving power and can be more powerrful by getting up to 215 pounds from his current 207. And since he can take it to the house on any given play, opposing defenses will have to stack the box with eight men at times.

So opposing defenses will always have to chose between stopping Johnson or Gordon as stopping one opens it up for the other. Gordon is an all-weather running back too so the Lions won’t have problems in Green Bay, Minnesota or Chicago. That all-weather thing is what a running back really has to be in late November, December and January to get you to and through the playoffs.
