Mike Evans Stats

49 catches 841 yards 17.2 ypc 8 touchdowns 10 games

Why he’s where he is

Evans is on this list because he’s has the most receiving yards of all the rookies and takes it a step above what Benjamin does. At 6’5″, 231 pounds, Evans is around the same size and strength to play that bully ball just as well as he does too. But Evans has good acceleration out of his breaks, 4.4 speed to get a step on you when he’s looking to go deep and a 37-inch vertical leap with his height.

Why he’s not higher

Evans has Vincent Jackson on the other side so opposing secondaries have to play it pretty evenly among the two. Plus he’s playing a soft schedule and hasn’t played against a real Top-10 pass defense or gone against any elite corners. Don’t be fooled by the Washington Redskins’ No 8 ranking because opponents have 103 passer rating against them and the give up the seventh most yards per attempt.
