Nov 15, 2013; Pasadena, CA, USA; UCLA Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley (17) is tackled by Washington Huskies defensive end Hau

No. 4: Hau’oli Kikaha: 17.5 Sacks

Why he made the list

Hau’oli Kikaha has 17.5 sacks to tie for the FBS lead so far this year and everything I saw on tape matches his production. He has a great get-off and burst around the corner to beat opposing tackles on the way to opposing quarterbacks. Kikaha is a complete pass rusher with a quick spin move, a swim move, explosive hands to jar opposing tackles and power to bull rush.

Why he’s not higher

This whole ranking is really close to call for me but I couldn’t put Kikaha higher because of all his medical stuff. He had two surgeries on the same knee seven months apart before coming back and having himself two back to back good years. NFL G.M.s are going to poke at him like a science project to make sure he’s okay so I’ll wait until that happens to rank him higher.
