No. 1: Nate Orchard: 17.5 Sacks

Nate Orchard has it all as far as get-off, closing speed, power, change of direction and a relentless motor that doesn’t stop. He combines that physicality with a plethora of pass rush moves including a bull rush and knows when to use each one. Then when you look at all of that on film it makes you see why he’s tied for the FBS lead with 17.5 quarterback sacks.

Orchard never takes a play off and when watching him on tape, it looks like he never needs to because he doesn’t get tired. And you know what kind of player he is when you see all that talent and all his coaches will talk to you about his work ethic. This kid is going to go into the league and and shock people from day one because no one is looking for him as he’s projected to go in the 1-2 fringe now.
