Arik Armstead
As Buckner might have made some money, opposite 3-4 end Arik Armstead definitely made himself some money that night. Armstead was originally projected to go the the mid-1st round somewhere but injuries and a few games missed dropped him into the second round. But in that Pac-12 Championship game, he was unblockable as double-teams didn’t even work as he split them.
Armstead only had a half a sack that night but chased Wildcats quarterbacks into sacks, pressured them and hit them all night. To me, Armstead, now healthy, looked better than any 3-4 defensive end prospect not named Leonard Williams of USC. If he continues to play the way he is in the playoffs, he could very well get back into the first round before the combine.
